This small medieval village located at an altitude of more than 240 meters will take you back in time thanks to its small alleys and its castle which will offer you an exceptional panorama of Provence. It will take you less than 25 minutes to get to this must-see city near here. Avignon, known particularly for its bridge and its festival, is full of things to see. There is the Papal Palace that you cannot miss if you stroll through the city center but also many theaters, shops, restaurants or even bars where you can have a drink on the terrace in the sun. The alleys and ramparts that encircle the center give this town a special charm. Don't hesitate to cross the bridge or take the free river shuttle to the other side of the Rhône to stroll around Barthelasse Island. This stroll along the river will offer you a superb view of Avignon which will be all the more beautiful at sunset. You can easily go around Avignon on foot, but renting a bike to stroll around the ramparts or on the island of Barthelasse will not be a bad idea as well.

Do not hesitate to take your car for a 50-minute drive to one of the most beautiful villages in France. You will not regret it. Your eyes will be amazed by the color palette offered by this village built on an ocher deposit. Take advantage of this moment spent in Roussillon to stroll on the Ocher trail which is 5 minutes from the village. You will be able to admire the cliffs and the hills which, like the village, will amaze you thanks to their atypical color. This unusual landscape is a protected area, so you will have to pay 3 € to access it.

It is a 55-minute drive from the Mas des Ecoliers that you can visit this city of art and history. The visit of the castle which is in the city center is a must, it allows in particular to have a very beautiful view of Uzès. You will take as much pleasure as your children to discover it. This small town is also known for its markets and charming shops. From Uzès, you can reach the Pont du Gard by bike or on foot thanks to a hiking trail of about 20 km which is around the site.

You will understand, Marseille is full of things to do and see, so do not hesitate to come to this city where the singing accent and the sun are indeed present.

This town of art and history, located 55 minutes from the Mas des Écoliers, is worth a visit. As you stroll through the city center you will have the impression of stepping back in time thanks to the streets and shops dating from the Middle Ages. The Arènes de Nîmes and the Maison Carré are must-sees in the city. You can also stroll in the Gardens of the Fountain to discover the temple of Diana and the Magne tower which are two ancient monuments of the city.

If you want to discover this young and dynamic city, plan about an hour's drive from the Mas des Ecoliers or 25 minutes by train from the Avignon TGV station. This city is known for its thermal baths, its bourgeois buildings, its fountains and its colorful alleys. You can visit many museums and stroll through the shopping streets. Between its terroir, its vineyards and its art of living, Aix-en-Provence is a city that will seduce you. In addition, the city center is almost entirely pedestrian, which will allow you to walk around with your children in complete serenity.

Discover this atypical town surrounded by ramparts, just over an hour's drive from our farmhouse. You will love strolling through the streets within the city walls, but you will also enjoy strolling on the other side of the ramparts, outside the city centre. The view from the top of the towers which is all around the city center is superb. The city is also endowed with unmissable monuments such as the Church of Notre-Dame-des-Sablons, the tower of Constance or the chapel of the brotherhood of white penitents. However, you cannot go to Aigues-Mortes without going to Les Salins, these salt marshes known for their magnificent pink color. Suffice to say that you will not resist the urge to take a picture. If you go there in the summer, you will surely have the chance to see Flamingos and a lot of other bird species. You will understand, we are a fan of this place!

Aigues-Mortes

It will take you about 30 minutes to reach this charming village. You will enjoy strolling along the river between works of street art, paddle wheels and small designer shops. This is the perfect place for bargain hunters; in fact, with around forty antique dealers, this village is now the third largest in Europe for flea markets. You can go there on Thursday or Sunday between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. to enjoy its large market. Take the opportunity to be in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue to go to Fontaine de Vaucluse which is a 15-minute drive away to admire the source of the Sorgue which is a magnificent blue, or again to canoe with your children in the middle of incredible landscapes.
